Finally Done

Okay! With a few things out of the way, finals ending, and graduation behind my back I have more time to post and keep you guys up to date.

Last Saturday I walked (graduated) Cum Laude from AASU with a degree in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science. The things that hunched over my back were the following

1. Getting a job
2. Finding a place to live
3. Finding a temporary job till I start my other one (since teaching wont pay me until September)

1- I have been offered a job at Windsor Forest High School. I will be teaching mathematics (but they are unsure of what classes and what grades). It is a relief to not have to worry about this. This was the school I did my practicum observation at, so at least I have my head on my shoulders for what I am getting into. Some of the teachers there already know me from that, and the principals seem to be really inviting. I am excited and nervous about my next steps in life but hopefully they will work out fine.

2. I have officially signed a lease (I know, pictures or it didn't happen!...those will come once I move in) with two people that I will not disclose names of because its not important. They are a 26/27 year old couple that live in a good area of town and are renting a room to help with the rent. They both play guitar hero and grill out all the time. They are really down to earth and I think living with them is going to be sweet. I got a pretty decent price on the monthly rent. The important thing is that my gut says "yes" on it.

3. I was offered a job starting May 20th, 2007 at Office Depot in Savannah, GA. My old manager that used to work at Office Max is now the manager there. He is a super awesome manager and is giving me a lot of flexibility. I will be there a very short time and am expecting a decent amount of pay for what I will be doing, and he is graciously doing me a favor by giving me a short term job.

With all of the major stresses out of my life I can finally sit down, hang with some friends/girlfriend, read some books, and catch up on the much needed sleep I have missed lately. I still have two finals left (one today and one tomorrow), but the ones that I was really worried about have already posted grades and I passed them with the grades I had hoped for (B's or higher). w00t.

I cant thank my friends and family enough for the support over the past years they have given me including financial, mental, and emotional. I have developed into an adult and now I am ready to face the world with both guns drawn. Roland Deschain hasn't got crap on this.
